I was disappointed when I called this hospice to ask some questions. I asked for director or intake RN and was transferred to someone who did not seem to understand much. I asked what type of support they provide for someone who might ask about their legal right to use the CA End of Life Act (aka Medical Aid in Dying) and she asked if I was talking about a comfort care box. She said they wouldn't do anything to help educate people who ask about that.
Giving this company a 1 star review is way too generous, I wish I could give it 0. We signed up for this company while my grandmother was under hospice. The first day the nurse came, she only cared about signing paperwork and when it came to helping my grandmother(such as diaper changes), she made it seem like that’s my responsibility, however I have no knowledge about nursing whatsoever. Life Springs Hospice Care is the worst hospice company I have encountered in my caregiving career. The nurse caring for our mutual client was pushy, rude and unhelpful. She treated a dying person with a suppository the morning she died. The poor woman was so painful and uncomfortable in her tummy because her body did not have the energy to clear her bowels!!!
