This whole-hearted recommendation is long overdue. Midway through pregnancy my wife told me she thought needed to get a doula to assist with the pregnancy and birth. “A do-what-now?”, I remember asking her. My wife explained, and, honestly, I wondered if a doula was going to be a justifiable expense. Kristin is wonderful! She helped me through my unmedicated labor and knew exactly what to do. My husband was apprehensive at first about having a doula and feeling left out but that was not the case at all. He now refers to her as our labor superhero! Kristin is patient, thoughtful, and makes you feel like your wishes are heard. She truly was a blessing for my pregnancy and for the birth of our son. I can't imagine going through labor without her.
My husband and I were gifted with a doula for the birth of our second child. Sadly, we lost our first (a daughter) later in pregnancy and this gift was intended to help walk us through what promised to be a nerve-wracking second pregnancy. My husband and I used Kristin as our doula based on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad we did! Kristin is amazing all-around, and we felt she was invaluable to us during the pregnancy, and especially during the (long and tough) labor and birth process! I would absolutely recommend using a doula (I was worried it was a frivolous expense at first), and Kristin and Adrienne (the only ones I’ve met here) can’t be recommended highly enough.
