Our stay was wonderful. We would love to come back here and stay to town. The location was perfect - just far enough out of downtown to have a quiet relaxing space but close enough to be back downtown within a 4-5 minute walk. Alison was so amazing. We would 100% come back again just to have her as our host again. The lemonade and cookies in the lobby every afternoon was icing on top of the cake. Highly recommend!
For context to historical reviews, we were told management recently changed (2025) to Lark Hotels. Allison was an extremely friendly host who upgraded our room without us even asking after a storm led to cancellations. She gave us tons of recommendations, showed around the property which they had just gotten ready for summer and is in perfect condition, and told us about guest experience plans for the near-future. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Life House Nantucket! From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was exceptional. Lovely rooms but fairly basic. Charming building but lacking in any amenities. Could really benefit from a small bar or offering complimentary beer / wines and simple snack offerings. Felt like a b&b without the second b.
This is not a luxury hotel, it's more like an inn without an innkeeper. The location is great and walkable to town and they offer really nice products in the bathroom. Having complimentary bottled water in the room was very nice. The room was basic (no drawers or places to put clothes or personal items). Hot water in the shower was spotty, and low water pressure.
