After answering 50 question with dispatch, including telling them not an emergency, just transport, I find out from fireman and ambulance that none of info was passed on. Only got fireman because I was told that it was required due to my wife maybe being resistant to leaving. Now 8 fireman show up, each in there own truck, with no understanding of what is required. They got a level 3, changed to a level 1, then back to a 3 during travel to my house. Ambulance had no info at all. The system is clearly broken- dispatch should ... read more
They treated my sister in law poorly
I called Iona EMS from the campground at the Ionia State Park, for a friend who had suddenly, without explanation, fell backward from a picnic table. She lost conciousness & was unavailable to communicate, but could hear what was happening. She later stated to me that the EMT that rode in the back with her was saying mean & hurtful things about her (the patient). This was due to the fact that the EMT thought that my friend could not hear her. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I would not recommend or use LIFE EMS again!
They were here within minutes of my call, and did everything that needed to be done to get the patient into the ambulance with my very odd shaped home, and difficult yard. I’m so very happy they were here so soon, and they were very professional and kind.
The people undermind the family when dealing with a person that has alzheimers and dementia. When trying to tell them what's going on they refuse to take the families word but take the alzheimers word. I was as a matter of fact told I was upsetting him and to stop lying and get out of the room. The only way he would do his exercises and what he was told was by threatening to put him in a home. He understood that, the EMT completely undermined that and said I don't have to EMT said I didn't. So thanks for nothing.
