Do not be deceived. Life Care Center of Hendersonville, ultimately, is no better than an average nursing home. While they may talk to potential residents (and/or their families) about being “mission-driven”, and couch some of their pitch in quasi-religious terms, they are ultimately a *for profit* business, and profit is clearly a significant part of their decision-making when structuring their care-taking efforts. My mom is in physical therapy and speech therapy at Life Care. Gretchen is super patient and empathetic and helpful in memorization skills and ensuring my mom has skills to manage her medications. She uses techniques adapted to the patient to ensure the daily tasks can be done correctly and that she can remember them by using acronyms or other methods to increase memory. All Life Care staff has been very kind and efficient in what service they provide.
