She knew exactly what I had at my very 1st visit. She followed up with testing and was spot on with her diagnosis. I am very thankful to have her as my rheumatologist. She is very thorough. If I have any questions or issues between appointments, I can message her on my chart and she responds right away within a hour or less ( usually less). I am so grateful to her and her staff for the care they provide.

I came here to say the exact same thing as the first reviewer, coolkidwithpie. I had an almost identical experience with Cortez. Dismissive, did not examine me, uncaring, cold, and apparently ready to give up on me after one appointment. I'll go back to the Cleveland clinic, my rheumatologist there was wonderful, and not lazy.

I've had nothing but excellent, amazing and professional medical care provided to me from Dr. January Beach and Dr. Lydia Cortes-Betancourt at Licking Memorial Rheumatology Clinic. Every single one of their healthcare staff members has also been nothing but kind, courteous, respectful and professional. The Dr's listened to what my experiences have been with my symptoms.
