I went in recently for a sore throat - the PA did a Strep swab that seemed not far enough into my throat - I said the pain was further back, but they said it would catch the Strep bacteria if it was there. I was offered the rapid test for $35 out of pocket, or could send it to a lab and I would "hopefully get the results tomorrow".
