My mom was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital North over the weekend and Dr. Pava went above and beyond to make sure she was taking care of. Her communication skills are absolutely outstanding. She was so clear with all of her communication and she truly cares about her patients! She even called us when we got home to double check about a scan and to make sure we were aware of something. Dr. Pava saw my husband at Advent Hospital Tampa once he was moved from the critical care unit into a regular room. She picked up where the cardiologists and other specialists dropped off. She is clearly bright, well-educated and a strong medical professional. Equally important, she took time to talk with me via phone and discuss the alcoholism that was driving all of his medical issues. My brother was under the care of Dr. Libia Pava when he was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her kindness snd exceptional care exceeded my expectations. She listened to my concerns, followed through with the appropriate tests and kept me informed about his condition. The only thing that saddens me is since she is a hospitalist, I can’t have her as my Internist!
Recently, my husband had emergency gallbladder surgery at Baycare Hospital in Wesely Chapel. I was unaware that Florida Medical Clinic sends an MD to check on FMC patients. Dr. Pava was wonderful. She was concerned, friendly and very caring. She managed my husband's care, ordering tests and medication, and did rounds daily. She left her phone number in case we needed her. I would recommend Dr Pava.
