Uploaded my tax return documentation to the Liberty tax portal in mid February. My case was ignored until the 1st week in April. At first they could not locate my portal documents, until I provided them a 'snapshot' of them, clearly showing them within the portal. Long story short, they did not complete them until after April 15, and I had to pay the IRS interest, plus Liberty's full tax prep fee. ! Never again !
My family worked with Yvonne at Liberty Tax in Sterling to file our taxes for 2023 and the process was super easy. Yvonne was a dream to work with - she is super knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great sense of humor. The only downside was that our taxes took over two weeks to be submitted after our meeting with Yvonne because the returns are double-checked by another tax expert and they were slammed. I will still return next year because Yvonne made it easy and stress-free. Thanks, Yvonne!
Flat out lied to my wife charged her $200 for tax preparation. Extremely high. Told her that our child that was 15 at the time of the tax year was too old to be used for the earned income credit. And I have a sneaking suspicion that all this was done because my wife is a black woman and they thought she was too stupid to understand. We will be filing a formal complaint with the IRS as well as we will be contacting the facility and I want to know what happened.
