Sadly, we wasted a year with Dr Hanauer. He made assumptions about my husband and immediately put him on antiseizure meds without proper testing. We never had a clinical visit, would only be seen at his desk. Lots of tests and MRIs. One time I called because of an incident of confusion and he never once got on the phone with me but kept having his assistant speak to me and tell me to go to the ER. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR! Dr. Hanauer is the worst doctor in this office. I was a new patient and he was super rude, asking me if I was there for drugs the second I got into his office. I have not been able to walk for weeks with numbness in my feet and he wouldn't even let me get a word in to explain what was going on. He completely dismissed me and I took a day off of work to get no help with my condition. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
I am a 64 year old woman that has been suffering with migraines since I was 7 years old. Recently was referred to Dr. H. for an embolic workup. He was extremely comprehensive, personable, professional and accomodating for my need to have this extensive workup done in a short time frame so I could be cleared for surgery. My impression was that he is very knowledgable and smart. He has a sense of humor and spent time in the consultation room listening to and evaluating my history. I recommend him highly and without reservation. His admin. ass't Ilyse is equally terrific.
I was to see Dr. Hanauer twice. Dr. Hanauer was friendly and personal. Dr. Hanauer explain every detailed information I needed to know about my situation.
Dr. Hanauer is a wonderful neurologist who throughly checks everything for any possibilities. He is very personable, explains things thoroughly & does not rush through the appointments. He addresses your questions without any hesitation.
Dr. Hanhauer was the rudest doctor I have ever met. He didn't ask me any questions and he was annoyed that I was there for a second opinion. He did not take my condition seriously and was extremely insensitive to a person who has been in severe chronic pain.
