I’m very overdue leaving this review, but after staying at a similarly marketed boutique resort & spa I must say L’Horizon is by far THE BEST place I’ve ever stayed at — so much so that we make a point to visit every year since we discovered it. The experience, customer service, design, ambiance, rooms, amenities, food & drinks, etc. are unmatched. 5 star building with a 3 star service. If the hotel is less than 25% full, you can expect no service at the pool bar for 45 mins at 5pm. For what we paid, we were not expecting to have to ring reception to prompt a staff member to attend the bar. No one picked up, but they did call me back right away apologising for missing my call. 35 dollars for a car valet when the car park is 10 feet away is a laughable insult.
