Spoke to three different Communities and I will say this was the most informative, friendy atomosphere. I went home amd several hours later got a call from the young lady that toured us and she just called to say "thank you" that was amazing she even asked more in debth questions regarding my Aunt! I am impressed over all.
I had my father there a few months ago for rehab ...The staff was nice but not enough staff . Food was Always Cold IF you ate in your room and my father never Got what he ordered... The social service director was wonderful and really helped our family, she and the nursing director almost live there , without Them it would be a big loss and i dont think we wound take my father back there without those two ....
A very nice and clean and friendly place I would have no problem putting mom or dad there .
Outstanding community for the price. Staff very friendly and well dressed. Building older but in good repair. Residents were very friendly and appeared to be very happy. Alot of activity noted, Apartments were clean and roomy. Marketer knowledgeable, ED and RCD were very professional and helpful. The whole staff went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome and at home. The community itself had a very warm and welcoming feel. Would definately recommend this community to family and friends.
My mom has enjoyed living there. The staff are caring and loving.
I am extremely upset with this facility. They did not treat my Grandfather with dignity and respect. If you walked into the facility after 5pm it is impossible to find any workers. The residents are left in hallways unattended. CNAs and nurses will be gone for long periods of time. They are obviously understaffed. My Grandfather is a fall risk and they leave him alone all the time. He has fallen so many times I have lost count. Last time I was there they left my Grandfather without shoes on, but with socks on, on a hardwood ... read more
My Mother has lived at Sterling House Of Watauga for nine years. She has enjoyed the community living. She even has a dog that is welcomed at her place too. She very much enjoys her room, with walk in closet and a small kitchenette. She and her dog, Mollie, often enjoy the pretty and nicely kept courtyard. The staff are very good to the residents and Mom is friends with many of the lovely people that take care of her. My Mom has been happy at Sterling House. She has many friends and enjoys many activities.
I was so impressed with everyone I worked with at this community. Everyone was friendly and the patients there seemed happy and well taken care of. There were no smells and everything was clean. They are all so welcoming from the minute you walk in the door. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones to live.
Medications were not given on time; sometimes 1 1/2 hours late and mixing medications that should not be. Were not prompt in helping resident. Before signing a contract, they said they could handle the medications, paid a $2000 deposit, were told that resident had to go. Other resident still in hospital from fall on second night. Moved resident out & they refuse to give back the $2000. They did not live up to their promise. Moved the resident left there out after 2 weeks.
