Took my disabled daughter here to apply for an apartment. They said they accepted section 8, took her $75 app fee plus $250, then turned around and said she had to make 3 times the rent. WHAT A JOKE. If she made 3 times the rent she wouldn't need a VOUCHER!? If she made 3 times the rent, she wouldn't qualify for the voucher. They basically discriminated against my daughter telling her that she needed a co signer who makes 5 times the rent only after giving her the run around. Pros: - Pool is lovely and well maintained. Always different spots around to sit, shaded or sunny. - Apartments themselves are decently updated and clean upon move in. - Maintenance comes quickly - Usually plenty of parking close to your unit Cons: - THE MAIL ROOM. Absolute disaster. It's on the honor system - which is a joke. Its usually filled to the brim and things get moved to random, disorganized shelves. My unit is great, clean and well-updated. Management are good communicators, respectful, and have done well handling some large projects to improve the community recently. Projects include completely redoing the pool area (looks great now), completely repaving all parking (big undertaking, but handled in a timely manner), and re-paving many of the sidewalks / fixing stairwells. Lexington Farms staff is amazing, they were very helpful and went above and beyond. The manager Jenny and the assistant manager Kathia were very helpful and amazing to work with.
I toured Lexington Farms Apartments, and it’s such a beautiful and well kept community! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the amenities are impressive. Although I ended up purchasing a home, the assistant manager, Kathia, made a lasting impression. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely passionate about the community, she almost made me want to keep renting! Anyone looking for a great place to live should definitely check out Lexington Farms.
