On 2/15/18 around 7pm I had the pleasure of working with two gentlemen who responded to my 81 year old neighbor’s home on Marabou Circle in West Columbia who had fallen and possibly broken her hip. The two EMTs, who’s names I did not get were extremely professional, kept her informed and calm while keeping her as comfortable as possible while evaluating her and getting her out of the house. Thank you and keep up the great work!

2 years ago my wife and got into a car wreck. They threw me in the back with a bone protruding out my leg on a straight board I was not secured in the ride and I had to hold my self from falling in the floor. My wife was on the stretcher and we were charged for one ride to Lexington medical center 22 miles at a cost of $1,574 dollars and they didn't do anything for us but transport. I understand that is their job but $1,574

Lexington EMS &Fire Department arrived at our home in response to my call. My husband had fallen and had head injuries. EMS people were awesome in their care of my husband. I am eternally thankful for and grateful to them for their training and professional attitude.

We had an employee get injured at UPS today after falling a few feet and injuring his arm. Not sure if he dislocated an elbow or a shoulder or actually broke one of them. He has been lying in the floor screaming in pain for 57 minutes.......57 minutes to get an ambulance to UPS at the airport. I realize this call was not believed to be life threatening and calls are answered in order of severity but 57 minutes seems terribly excessive. I am not happy with the response time.

Went to Tuesday Morning this afternoon, as I left the store there was an elderly woman on the sidewalk. She had fallen, her arm was very obviously broken and she could not get up because of the pain in her hip. It took 2 911 calls and 35 minutes for Lexington County EMS to arrive. Meanwhile she lay on the scorching sidewalk in agony. This is NOT acceptable. What is up Lexington County!!!!!!

I have been a Paramedic for 28 years. A very Big thank you to the Lexington County Fire & EMS Department. This morning I rolled up on a 1 vehicle MVC that involved an injured mother and an unresponsive 4 year old. The child required CPR and rescue breathing, the scene was initially chaotic, upon arrival of EMS, we worked as a team, without ever having worked together. The crews that responded to this scene on Hwy. 76 in Little Mountain were professional and accepting of my assistance and the info I had gathered prior to thei... read more
