NP Lillian and the rest of the nurses were amazing, caring, and the most friendly people ever. Update- I received a very unprofessional and ill-worded response on 9/19 from what I assume was the practice manager, Destiny Conley. As a professional student in healthcare, it absolutely pains me to see how negligence from non-medical “professionals” directly effect the health and well-being of patients. This is especially saddening, as the personnel at LewisGale are an accurate depiction of how inefficient and incompetent rural health systems can be. Last month, I went in for an initial consultation to undergo a colonoscopy screening. I had already confirmed with my private health insurance that both preventative and diagnostic colonoscopies would be covered for me. The health insurance agent affirmed this information to me, and I got a reference number for the conversation. Everyone at the clinic is wonderful. The loss of one star is due to the antiquated method of having incoming patients fill out forms on paper. Why is this not fully online? Paper forms are inconvenient and tedious.
