I went in for a visit for kidney stones. I had a large one in the left and a small one in the right kidneys. Surgery performed and was left with left kidney stone in tact because he couldn't get to it. Left with 2 stents in kidneys. Later went back and he removed right stent. Left stent left because the stone is still present. Attempted to go to work and ended in tears due to pain. New surgeon appointment not until 3 weeks later. In today’s healthcare you have a choice and I urge you to not make Dr. Donald Lewis your choice for a Caring, Concerned and Compassionate professional. I referred my husband to Dr. Lewis as a healthcare professional myself. If you care for your loved one, research other health professionals. Close to home is not always your best option.
Dr. Lewis is a very rude doctor.
He is very to the point. Which I like. He explains what your problem is. Then explains what he is going to do to verify his thinking. I worried about the procedure but he made it comfortable for me mentally.
Seems thorough enough but does get “short” if you ask him to repeat his instructions. I heard him but he mentioned cancer and I lost track of the conversation for a few seconds. When I asked him to repeat what he’d just said he got agitated. If you can handle this, he should be your doctor. He was recommended by our family MD.
VERY RUDE. If you have questions for Mr. Lewis your better be ready to see a rude and horrible side of him. I was a patient there years ago and the first initial visit was fine but anything after that...look out. We had the same experience when my parent went into see him. VERY NASTY SOUL. I'm truly surprised he still has patients...ONLY because there are only 2 urologist in newark, I am sure. I do not know, but horrible horrible bed side manners. HORRIBLE!!!!!
The doctor and staff are amazing ! I had no problems getting in quickly. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.
