As a minor who goes to this place, the schedule is absolutely terrible, the people are mostly homophobic/racist and they just give you a sheet to "help". I've been through thick and thin and therapy has barely helped me, I will admit the only time it was helpful was when I wasn't handed a sheet. Please fix your system, get better staff and actually look into what they're doing to clients.
It takes forever to see someone, and if you happen to be trans they don't both to use your correct pronouns or name even though you said multiple times how bad being misgendered and dead named makes you feel. On top of that, my therapist would respond to all my issues with "well everything is a choice" and made me feel like it was my fault I was traumatized in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Stay consistent with your times please. I don’t wanna wait two weeks just to see my second appointment even though they promised that I would see them in the middle of this week.
"If you're gonna keep talking, then you might as well talk to a wall." I had a therapist say this to me when I went here. I have multiple therapists at this place and most of them made me feel emotionally invalidated. The ones I did like left. I have been in Vermillion for 7 years and still have yet to find a therapist who actually cares about mental health and people.
