He conducted an extremely thorough investigation into a chronic problem, determined to locate the underlying cause, but without being a fear-monger. He has a wonderful, dry sense of humor and is an excellent listener. I am happy to have him as my primary care physician, and I am certain that should anything serious come up he will be straight-forward, aggressive, and proactive in handling it.
I have never before written a bad review, however my experience with Dr. Lewin has compelled me to so others can make an informed decision on choosing their doctor. I phoned Dr. Lewin's office to ask him to call in a prescription to my local pharmacy for anti-malaria treatment for my trip, also could he give my the relevant inoculations I would need. I'm new to Savannah and suffered an injury that required me to go to the ER. I followed up with Dr. Lewin at SouthCoast and was very pleased with my care and treatment. He immediately took X-Rays of my neck, something the ER did not do, and discovered my neck pain and stiffness was due to a neck sprain of nearly 5 degrees (one's neck is curved, mine was straight)! I follow-up with him again on Friday the 10th for lab work and I look forward to continue using him as my PCP down here in Savannah.
Dr. Lewin is the best. He listens, he cares, he directs my medical care completely and with compassion, I cannot imagine him leaving, nor can I imagine him being condesending and/or patronizing as mentioned in another review. He is always listening, speaking with care and concern.
