Buyer Beware! Living 8hrs away from the dealer, I was reluctant to purchase a $30K+ boat. Don promised this was a 1 owner, always garaged, practically new boat. The boat was suppose to be in pristine condition, with a 'high end' stereo. I also paid $300+ to the mechanic he recommended (BJ at Boat Doc) to perform a top to bottom inspection. After it received an A+ rating from the mechanic, I felt better about the purchase. I paid $500 to ship it up. As soon as it arrived, I new it was a huge mistake. My experience with this boat dealership was not what I would expect from a legitimate boat dealer. They had a boat I was interested in. This dealership is 8+ hours away from my home. I talked to Tim on the phone. He emailed me pictures the next day. I sent multiple emails back to him with no response so I called 2 days later. I told him I wanted to come look at the boat and test drive it. His reply was they do NOT allow test driving of the boats. Drove 3hrs to get a boat. Got it home and immediately had problems with fuel tank. Also first time taking it out all 3 batteries were dead. When I called them to talk about it they said well it worked when you left so they wouldn't do anything for us after paying $13000 for a boat! After freaking out on them they finally said they would give us the batteries but we had to drive back and pick them up

We drove 650 miles RT to buy a " 1 owner" boat/motor/trailer package from this "broker". Don Lewellen misrepresented the # of hours of usage on the Yamaha outboard, and the environment in which the motor was used. He sold it as "used in fresh water only", when in fact it was used 90% in salt water. I spoke with the original owner. In addition, the original owner had a spare tire bolted & locked to the trailer.......but when I picked up the package, the spare was missing. We drove over 10 hrs to check out a boat for our family @ Lewellen Enterprises. The boat we were looking at was advertised as a boat being always garaged, a Ballast tank (that worked), A Bimini Top, full canvas FITTED cover. When we arrived, we were very excited to see our new-used boat. We were very disappointed to see that it wasnt super clean. The fitted cover was a loose tarp with a small tear, that only got worse on the way home. There was NO BIMINI Top, or cover. We should have walked away!! But we decided to go ahead ... read more
