Easy and cheap online divorce service! It took me about 30 minutes to answer the questions online about my divorce, and then when I made my payment, all of my divorce paperwork and filing instructions were instantly generated. My husband and I signed the documents, and he then spent about 20 minutes at court to file them and pay the court filing fee. I went in to using this site knowing that it was cheap and would offer incomplete information. I used it more as a stepping stone to help me understand what the heck I was doing. Divorce in NY is complicated and the packet you get at the supreme court is like 200 pages of forms and instructions. Using letsgetdivorced.com made it MUCH more approachable, and 90% of the instructions they gave were correct. Waste of money. The judge said one of the documents was unnecessary and could open me up to litigation in the future.
I am trying to help my friend get divorced in Texas. She has a protective order. The web site does not ask, but the document claims there is no protective order. Obviously, the document is wrong in a big and important way!!! However, when we called support they refused to help or refund unless "the court rejects the document".
