I was referred to Dr Leslie Gomez by my doctor that was leaving her practice. I have been a patient of Dr Gomez’s for 2 months. I really liked Dr Leslie Gomez and felt she had strong medical knowledge, listened and took time to know me as a new patient. However, poor communication and difficulty getting timely responses ( or any response) to concerns was a big deterrent for me. Dr Gomez, is a true medical professional. She really listens, and cares for her patients.
What a horrible experience while going through a tragic medical emergency! I brought my husband to Manatee Memorial due to abdominal pain and coughing up blood. After spending the night trying to comfort him not knowing what we’re facing she comes in our room without reading his chart asking why we were here, scolding him for not having a dr and gave him no updates on the X-rays, cat-scan or bloodwork taken the night before. Leslie A Gomez is a Horrible doctor if you don’t have insurance and you were a patient of hers. She will not see you anymore. Even if you want to pay cash, she will act like you are and nobody because you don’t have insurance and her nurse. Be very careful about that one. She tells the doctor whatever she wants to tell to make herself look like she is a great nurse, but she’s just like being in everybody’s business and then at the end she comes and tells the doctor will not see you because you have no insurance.
