This is my second AC/Thermal pump unit from Polar Bear. First one was a white labeled, Chinese manufactured "Polar Bear" brand which lasted 12 years. After some significant issues, I decided to replace it with Polar Bear's newly recommended Japanese built "Daiken" unit. It worked perfectly, year round, for 5 years, but then in April 2025, my AC wouldn't work. It was still under warranty, so I was glad there were no service charges to get it fixed.
