Take this shops word with a grain of salt..... I came in and asked whether there was a way to remove a measured amount of excess oil. I was told there was no way to do this without creating a mess, that he knew of no shop who could do it, and that I would need to purchase a full $105 oil change. (It was changed a week ago) I subsequently went to a mechanic a block away, who used an oil extraction machine through the dipstick tube and removed exactly 0.5 quart cleanly and without any issue, at no charge in under 15minutes. Dropped the truck off around 8am for a "couple hour" job. Didn't get it until 5:45pm. Very evident the job was a rushed and last minute as they replaced my rear wheel seals and did not properly reseal my rear differential causing it to leak. Now I am back at the shop less than 10 minutes before closing and they just pulled me truck in. Now I fear this job will also be rushed by not allowing the seal adequate time before adding fluid again.
