I walked in wondering if LEPORE’s had “sponge candy” which is a chocolate delight I loved growing-up in Buffalo, NY. The man at the counter (whose name escapes me at the moment) was kind and friendly and said he could order some as it is a specialty item. After a few minutes of chatting, he went to the back and returned with a couple pieces of sponge candy. They must have been left-over from a secret stash? The sweetest place with such friendly and generous owners. I am so happy I stopped here on a day trip from Philadelphia and definitely will make the trip back up soon!! Highly recommend the peanut butter and jelly chocolates and the peanut butter hearts. Amazing Easter selection too. Don’t miss this gem!
