I was really excited to try Leopolds as my friend who is a Savannah native got me an e-gift card to use because she knew I was traveling through on my way to Hilton Head and she knows I love a sweet treat. Unfortunately, our experience at the Leopold’s Ice Cream kiosk at the Savannah Airport was the complete opposite of the wonderful experience we had at their downtown Savannah location. The crew downtown was absolutely amazing, friendly, welcoming, and honestly some of the best service we had during our trip. We loved it so much that, as we were leaving Savannah, we were excited to stop at the airport kiosk for one last Leopold’s ice cream. Peak time at the airport and the staff just decided to go on a long break. Waited for a long time before I and many others in line had to leave for our flights in disappointment. Who shuts down a stall an hour before close time?
Sorry, no pics. If I could 4.5 Leopold's, I would. Ice cream was good, we had a group who got some, I specifically got the Ice Cream Sandwich, with cookie dough in between Chocolate Chip cookies. It was as messy and awesome as you can imagine, go big or go home! I did both since we were in an airport, and I was on my way home. So why not a 5 star?
