Run. Run fast. We sent an old French settee and a period Sheraton settee to be stripped and reupholstered, I paid a $1,000 deposit. When the fabrics didn't arrive fast enough, we were threatened with additional charges of another $1,000 plus, or they were going to sell my property. We went and picked them up, but I had to threaten legal action to get my property back and let them keep the initial $1,000 I paid.
