It used to be pleasant here under LHA but, sadly, I've struggled with mgmt. to get the community room back to the way it was when we were under Holden Housing, 15 and even7 years ago when tenants were frequently in there socializing and playing games... Rummikub, in particular. The room was almost back to "normal" but when I pushed to get the long table for puzzles that are good to help ward off alzheimers and for socializing, the furniture was rearranged and not tenant friendly!!!!! Updated 1-15-25 We are in Holden - 14+ yr tenant at Checkerberry Village. Our maintenance guy, Shane, is very conscientious. Our ED, Ben Gold, and our manager, Moe Ramos, care about what goes on here and are working on a few issues left over from WHA! Moe is a great negotiator! Certain females seem to support a group who is dividing the tenants. Consequently, so are they! They are also ignoring the people of the legitimate tenant group / MA Union of Public Housing Tenants. Update 8/10/24 Well I've left Sunset towers and I couldn't be happier. The place has become disgustingly filthy. I asked a year ago for a transfer out of the building never received it, I actually left for a lot more reason than just the filth. You've got very vindictive jealous lying people living in the building who are allowing their offsprings who are drug addicts, alcoholics and thieves to have access to the building as if they were paying rent there.
