Worst doctor I have ever been to. I saw her because I gained a lot of weight in a year, dispute diet and exercise. My T3 was off, so I wanted to follow up with Endo and I was able to get in quickly... now I know why it was so easy to get in with her. She called me obese several times and told me the solution to my problem was to stop eating. At one point she called me a liar and said I clearly do not exercise or diet because of how I look. Dr. Shalem has a good bedside manner and I appreciate her willingness to try to be flexible and accommodating. I would gladly recommend her as an endocrinologist as she is both knowledgeable and collaborative. However, Summit Medical Group uses seriously antiquated technologies which would have been apt in the age of Boomers. They have: no encrypted telemedicine flexibility, no flexibility in work hours to accommodate weekend or evening services, no capacity to send blood work electronically, and an ill equipped answering se... read more

Poor bedside manner, apathetic when explaining things. At a certain point I thought I was being interrogated. My first and LAST time seeing this woman. Awful. Summit Medical Group should be ashamed.
