Dr. Lela Emad suggested an endometrial ablation (Nova procedure ) despite my history of endometriosis and uterine infection. Later, I found out she was an instructor of the procedure. Post-procedure, I experienced severe cramping, adhesions, and so much pain each monthly menstrual cycle for 8 full months. I can’t explain the pain it caused!! Ultimately I required a hysterectomy due to complications. My new OB-GYN stated the procedure should have never been performed given my medical history.
Nothing earth shattering to report. I wish the office staff were a bit more on top of answering phones/returning phone calls, but Dr. Emad has always listened to my concerns and worked with me on treatment. So far, good treatment in the context of America's screwed up medical system.
She ruined my life! Had a nova sure procedure with diagnosed endometriosis! Well it failed! Was in pain every month for 5 months until I had to get a total hysterectomy! Threw me into surgical menopause and I’m still not 100% I really wish I educated myself more about the nova sure procedure instead of trusting this doctor!!!
