Great atmosphere, reasonably priced and a lot of history to explore. Close to numerous restaurants and pubs and walking distance to the city.
The staff at check in were lovely, really friendly and helpful. But the room... There was pubic hair all over the shower wall before I even got in. Then I pulled back the bed sheets and found more. Some looked like short coarse hairs, some maybe dog hair, but many were clearly pubic hair. It was revolting. I’ve seen less hair in a barber’s bin. Really disappointing given how nice the staff were.
We had a great family stay at the Penny Royal. Exceeded all expectations. We’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic stay at Penny Royal. Beautiful and spacious family room with separate bedrooms was perfect for our family and the girls loved all the activities and eating options on-site. We will definitely be back!
