I’ve donated blood here multiple times and know the eligibility rules inside and out, but my visit today was incredibly uncomfortable. I felt completely judged and profiled by the phlebotomist, Ruth Sandoval, from the exact moment I sat down—seemingly because I have tattoos, even though they are old and completely cleared for donation. Have not been there yet but I got a phone call about the big need for platelets a suggestion I have would be to build one of these donation centers in Nephi than more of the small towns all over central Utah can help with the platelet donation need
The staff are amazing.
I thought there was a HUGE need for blood donations?? How in the world do you not accept a walk in? I get so many marketing calls, emails, and messages from you guys. I finally come in to help out and get denied?? What a joke! There were literally 4 people donating too. Plenty of open spots. Just wasted half my day driving down here simply to help… It’s like yelling for help and then telling someone no thanks cause they didn’t schedule an appointment. Haha. WOW.
