It's not Maximillian's. I want to like the place because it's that local spot, you know, it'd be cool if you could have a bar that is literally walkable. But beyond the burgers which are a bit overpriced the place really isn't that great, and insanely overpriced, even in this current market with costs up. $8 for a side ceaser salad when you are charging $19.50 for meh-okay spaghetti is a bit excessive, and doesn't make me wanna drive out to Lima to try their other location. Fantastic staff, great drinks. Great people.
The place has the air of a hole in the wall but is very clean, friendly, and fresh. It has a very Cheers feel to it. The clientele is on the older side, so if you're below your 50s, you're unlikely to find a lot of peers besides the bartenders. They have a full menu and the food is very good. They have a surprising diversity of drinks, even some unusual beers. I had no complaints.
