The soup was passable, but the cheap frozen shrimp was poor quality—and somehow still expensive. The staff were less than friendly. The founders, who established this place in 1950, must be turning in their graves.
The crab cakes are insanely unreasonably priced for how poor they taste, and the clam chowder tastes similar to one from a can. It isn’t bad food, I just really expected to be blown away because of how expensive everything was, and I wasn’t at all. Service was also pretty lousy, waitress was not very kind or helpful. Would not recommend to anyone to come here.
Always visit Legal Sea foods when in Boston. Clam chowder is yummy. Smash burger is really good! Crab cake a must order item.
Service was a little slow but I think it was very busy and understaffed. My server was always very attentive. I had the seafood casserole. It was delicious! I will definitely have it again.
