My experience with Legal Aid in Saskatoon has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially given how serious my family law situation is. I am aware of a father of a family of six, four children two adults, who was on EI when he applied, after a serious family dynamic turned into a legal crisis. The family gross income was approximately $2000 per month. He was denied Legal Aid. Because of the severe child abuse and the breakdown of the interpersonal relationship he was fighting for his children’s safety. 3yearwait, reapply atleast 3times, 5 different lawyers, receptionist is hit and miss and now I have been ghosted by my lawyer. Had a chance in the beginning .
