I called up there a few times I need an emergency custody order filed. I don’t have the money. I’ve called DCS and I was told I need to get an emergency custody order and both times they were rude with me and told me they cannot help me they don’t have enough resources. The second time I called, the woman raised her voice at me My children need to be away from where they are and I need help and no one’s helping me. I guess child abuse in Ohio is not important enough for legal aid
Very rude kind of pointless on tell me all this information just to tell me they don’t have no lawyers then you get mad and hang up on me legal aid as a joke. They should be shut down if you’re asking for help then you go and waste somebody’s time what’s the point of even having a legal service that’s supposed to help people
Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with their customer service today. I was hung up on three separate times after providing the information they requested, including household income that has nothing to do with my personal financial situation. I live with family, and they do not contribute to or participate in my financial affairs, yet I still complied. Well the reviews are spot on. So rude and acted like I was stupid for asking for help.
I want to share my frustration regarding the Legal Aid Department that regularly visits the VA and claims to assist veterans. Despite being fully aware of veterans’ disability ratings and incomes, they informed me that I was ineligible for help because I supposedly earn too much. This is particularly disappointing because they promote their services as veteran-focused, yet it feels like they’re not willing to put in the work to actually support us.
