Some were nice but things were just really industrialized and impersonal. I came in to the hospital my late second trimester due to fainting spells and disorientation. I was near fainting whenever I stood up and my blood pressure was up and down. The hospital staff said that this was not normal and I absolutely needed to continue follow up care, but at the moment it was no longer any type of emergency because the episode had ended. For all 3 baby's I went to Dr.yang and he was amazing, he's very kind and understanding and makes you feel heard. I had a rough first pregnancy and was worried about my second with my recovery. He was very reassuring and even suggested we try a wound vac for the c section area and it went 100000 times better. And the MAs at the office have always been wonderful too. I can't say how much I appreciate them and everything they do! Thank you!
Experienced racism and my concerns about my blood pressure being waved off. I let the nurse midwives know that I was experiencing vision changes to the point of my vision going out while walking upstairs and that my blood pressure was elevated at night. They asked if I had experienced vision changes before being pregnant and I said yes, but let them know that was only when I was up for over 24 hours when I was working and going to school.
