The cost of a service call for a routine maintenance check on a generator was $115 in March of 2026. In August, PGE turned off my mom's generator while doing work at her property. Since she is wheelchair bound, she called on Legacy to come and switch it back on which took 5 minutes; she is also in Vacaville. She was charged $200 for that service. This is not the first time I've utilized the services provided by Legacy, and it most definitely won't be the last. My wife wanted an outdoor ceiling fan with light and an electrical outlet installed on a custom-built pergola. The job required replacing an interior single switch with a double switch and hiding the conduit for the fan and outlet along the pergola framing.
