Today we booked for my sister to go to the doctor. The place itself was fine. The doctor was lovely but this review is for the receptionist. I had paid the full amount via health engine. My sister had her meeting with the doctor and we left...as we'd already paid. We had a call from the reception saying we needed to pay which we told her we had. Dr Babu Kothalanka is proactive, confident, and consistently thorough in managing my care. He keeps up to date and he’s always willing to handle treatment in-house rather than rush to refer. He takes the time to do things properly, and I always feel I’m in capable, well-skilled hands. With his combined Emergency and GP skills, his care is well worth any out of pocket costs. Highly recommended.
I recently called Leeming Medical Centre and had a disappointing experience with the receptionist, Gayatri. She was extremely rude and provided incorrect information over the phone. When I asked for clarification, she spoke to me in a condescending tone and seemed unwilling to help. I am a previous patient and requested for my results to be sent to the other clinic. Rude receptionist, the doctor who my wife saw was running really late, so she ended up being seen 30 minutes late. Whilst she went to do a 1 minute urine test the doctor took in another patient, so another 30 minute wait for the doctor to finish with that patient. What a joke of a practice.
Since moving suburbs and trying different gps/doctors, I’ve confidently returned to Leeming Medical Centre seeing Dr.Babu. He genuinely cares, and will do his best to help. Highly recommend.
