I’m deeply troubled that Dr. Swanson Lee is still practicing at UPMC after our traumatic experience. During the delivery of my son, Dr. Lee made critical errors — including improper post-delivery stitching — which led to serious internal bleeding and required additional medical intervention. My wife thankfully recovered, but the experience was terrifying and nearly cost her life. I had her as my first gyn at 19 and i told her i had pain and she said i should just go to therapy and it was in my head because of my past. I found out years later i had endometriosis of which wasnt “in my head”
Dr Swanson has to be one of the meanest physicians I have ever been to. She was my first obgyn and she had me in tears every year terrified to get a check up. Nasty doesn't even begin to describe her manner. I'm not sure why she even practices medicine when it's very clear she doesn't care for her patient's well being at all. Find anyone else in the pgh area to treat you.
Swanson refused my csection, knowing my son pooped in womb and I could not deliver him naturally, causing him to develop neonatal pneumonia and almost die. Do not use her as your doctor especially if it’s to give birth to your child. She is known to have horrible bedside manor and continues to make life risk choices on patients. Ask for a different doctor in the practice if you choose where she works.
