From the first day, I met Dr. Lee he pushed surgery. He never gave me the correct alternatives before surgery last appointment. He gave me an ultimatum rather I have surgery or don’t come back. This type of doctor is only for it for the money. I’ve watched him come in Looked high and only comes in if he hears me on the recorder stating I don’t want surgery, I will not recommend this doctor for your thyroid. He’s actually leaving the office. The Nurse practitioner there are his salesman.
My first appointment was great! Everyone from the office staff, to Julie the nurse and Dr Metchick were all very thorough and kind. I enjoyed the humor that Dr. Metchick has to keep the difficult conversations light.

I've been a patient of Dr Metchick for over 5 years and was originally with him when he was at Lake Mary location which is 3 miles from my home. When he moved to DeLand, I stayed with him even though he was now 25 miles from my home. On my last appointment, I arrived for my 11:15 appointment at 11:24 ( 9 minutes). I explained the trip took over 1/2 an hour to get there and the answer was I'd have to reschedule. I was not happy with having to make the trip again and said forget it.
