For The Discerning Boozer Ledger Liquor seems to be a liquor shack where the owner/employees know and care about their merchandise. Though they're not someliers, they can make wine recommendations. Can your corner store do that? They stock some pretty unusual stuff too, in terms of wine and hard liquor. Also has a small parking lot and easy street parking nearby.

I challenge the notion that this is the best place to buy wine, spirits and mixers in an around Berkeley... Ledgers is the Supreme source for all of the above (and liquor acumen) in the Bay Area period! The cashier( don’t know if he’s the owner or not) came out to find us because we left a whole box of beer behind!!!! Above and beyond service!

Hands down the best place in the East Bay to find obscure spirits, liqueurs, bitters and mixers. An unbelievable selection! If you don't see what you're looking for, just ask. Chances are they have it or can acquire it.
