Great, rustic experience… If you’re looking for a place to sleep at the end of the trail… This place is it but only if you make your reservations a year in advance… Even if you’re just stopping in, these folks are very kind and hospitable… Be sure to get your I Hiked-It T-shirt!!
Not open between 10 and 12 for shelter during extreme weather conditions (which would be expected from a mountain cabin). Opened at 12, but no hot drinks nor food for day hikers. Unfriendly staff. God would not approve.

Be careful with a trip to Leconte Lodge, like everyone I was excited to hike Mount Leconte, and stay in the rustic backcountry cabin, I was thinking after a long hike, I would enjoy a hot meal, a clean bed, stars, peace, quiet like other back country lodges in the area This is not a quiet place, it is super busy and unfortunately.
