I agree with the low grade reviews on this practice. We used to be a patient of DR. Horton for over 20 yrs but we finally had it with the practice & moved. It is now more about arguing with patients & being really in your face than actually recognising that this is medical practice; how about a little care, listening. & understanding!!!! Same with Jihn Horton 👎👎👎👎

The doctors and staff are great and I highly recommend them. However they seem to have some problems in their billing department. I was overcharged on three visits and then given a credit. However no one ever contacted me that I had been overcharged. On my last visit I was told I had a credit and I would not be charged for that visit however the next day I received a phone call from their building department asking to collect for payment. I explained to the billing office, they told me I had a credit and the lady taking my c... read more

Shame on you for making an older woman come to pick up a prescription during the time when everyone is suppose to stay home, because you wouldn't mail a prescription to her house. That is ridiculous. She told you she was not comfortable being exposed in your office and no one in the office would listen. It is not that hard to put a prescription in the mail. I work in the medical field and I mail prescriptions to patients all the time. Shame on you.

I walked in with the chills and neck pain thinking my son gave me strep. She didn’t give me a rapid strep test and instead said I would have to wait 3 days for lab results. I walked a way feeling like I had been rushed out of there and wished I was given a rapid test. I called back the next day and expressed these concerns with no real solutions offered from the phone nurse. Turns out I was walking around with FLU A for two days infecting God knows who?!?! Minute Clinic on Stateline took way better care of me and within 20 m... read more

In the space of two weeks I want to their urgent care for the same cold/sinus issues. First time they charged $100 and second time $160. Received the same level of care but charged two different amounts. I knew what was wrong with me I just need antibiotics. Talk about insurance fraud will never go back here.

Great place I went to for over twenty years. But the day I turned 65 they threw me out to pasture. No new Medicare patients. Well I don’t consider 25 years a new patient. No way to treat patients because they’re getting older. Having to start all over with a new doctor. Totally sucks

What used to be a great practice is no longer a great family practice. If I had time I would write out all my reasons but now I need to spend my time finding a new Dr!

Let's start with the stuff that's going to apply to everybody: you will wait. You will wait an absurd amount of time even if there are no other patients in front of you. Sorry, but this is how it is at Leawood Family Care. Be prepared to wait at minimum 45 minutes if there's nobody in front of you--two hours if a normal crowd is in line. The only thing worse thing than the waiting is the actual treatment itself. Every doctor that myself or my wife have dealt with have either been grossly incompetent or too unconcerned to c... read more
