My son had a Traumatic Brain Injury over 3 years ago. We did BNF (home program) this past summer and saw improvements in memory, awareness and motor. Sean was so helpful and easy to work with.
The neurofeedback process is amazing and the effects have changed my life. I highly recommend this to anyone, it will improve motor skills and brain function so that you are living and thinking at your highest capacity.
I learned about neurofeedback at a time when I was trying to find a way out of my own trauma. I was reading the book "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van Der Kolk, and there's a really great chapter about neurofeedback that I kept coming back to. I was interested in ways it was an alternative to therapy. But I also was moved by a case study included in the book in which a woman who was suffering from PTSD used neurofeedback as a way to finally calm down so she could start doing the work of healing. My symptom's before Braincore treatment, thinking I'm going crazy, Strong feeling of impending doom and foreboding, electric shock feeling, weakness in legs, sporadic numbness legs arms, felling like I might pass out, neck tension, tingling lips and tongue, need to get away from crowed places, not wanting to leave the house...
