Classic Bait-and-Switch Tactics A LeafFilter sales rep hounded me at Canadian Tire Beacon Hill and pushed me into a long phone call with another rep. I was told the quote would stay valid for a full year with no obligation to book. Later, their rep came to my home to provide the quote and said that he could arrange a 0% interest payment plan for 12 months and started pressuring me to commit right away by agreeing to this payment plan. The original install was poorly done and I called customer service to have someone come out and fix everything. Someone came out within a few days and fixed everything. No hassles or charge. Service person was Mamadou, was did an excellent job and was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. The sales presentation was pretty slick, but the salesman at first quoted a ridiculously high number and then by virtue of various “discounts” the price finally came down to $4000 for a small job. Way more than other quotes I got. The first fellow that came Installed the sections but between each 5 foot sections the butt ends were not flush, but we’re all different heights. So one end of a section would be 3/4 of an inch higher than the other. Very poor. The other concern is that... read more
