We hired LeafFilter to repair a leak in our gutter. Someone came out August 30, 2024 and installed support brackets, then "sealed" the leak. The next rainstorm it was clear that the repair did nothing and it was still leaking as bad as it was before they sent someone out. I called and the said they would send someone out as they have a 12 month guarantee on these types of repairs. Literally just had a salesman from leaffilter gutter protection talk me out their product with his crap attitude. Even after telling him you have a sale if you just shut your mouth. I'm flabbergasted, my wife had to tell him to pack up his stuff and get out of our house. If that's how they say hello I wonder how the experience is when I need assistance. I feel like we dodged a serious bullet.
They tried to commit a massive costly scam against a neighbor of mine which seems to be their normal strategy. They wanted over $20K to install gutter guards around the house, stating that it was a very large house and that they might need to bring in their commercial estimator due to the house's size. It was a normal sized house. Then they went down to $14K and then finally $7K, including a senior discount. This job shouldn't cost more than a few hundred bucks. Looking forward to not getting on ladders, or hiring out our gutter cleaning. We are in our late 70's. However I wish LeafFilter provided pictures of the completed job, from the roof.
This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had with a home company. I fully signed a contract for new gutters in July, the rep Tom came out three times to my home and took photos. Never confirmed they could actually do the job as I have pipes and odd fascia on a home with different siding and stucco from the 30’s.
