Heated Rivalry film site: Rose and Shane dinner in Old Montréal bar. Was in town the one day it was closed.
In a word Le Tambour was fantastic. From the service and the atmosphere and of course the food. Everything was an explosion of flavours.... from the shrimp ceviche, summer squash, to the pork dish. $18 for the bread was a bit much but it tasted fabulous too lol. Top marks for making a great Negroni without watering it down like a lot of restaurants and bars do. Top marks to our server from Orangeville as well. Very friendly and accommodating. RECOMMENDED...
The vibes, the service, the food. All excellent. Today was their birthday -- the restaurant is 3! They had a DJ who played the best, chill music and set the tone so well. Also, and excellent selection of non-alcoholic options for drinks.
The only positive: the food had good flavour. Unfortunately, it was served cold, the service was even worse and we didn’t receive everything we paid for. We noted in our reservation that we were celebrating our engagement. We weren’t expecting 5-star service, but we did expect basic hospitality. Went here on a date with my fiancée a couple days ago. Wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last! Stephanie served us and she was amazing. Such a wonderful personality and smile. Jesse also helped us choose a great wine pairing. Can’t wait to go back :)
