Had lunch there for the first time today. The food was great and the server, Bertha was very patient with our questions. Wonderful experience. Quiet and leisurely lunch. Wonderful. We will be back.
This is the restaurant at the Americana I frequent most often. I love their quiches and open-faced sandwiches. Their bread is addictive, and they have a cool menu item for kids that's basically a smattering of bread, cheese, turkey and veggies. Fun for kids to pick and choose, and incredibly healthy. I love their praline spread and assorted jams for the bread basket. Good for breakfast, too.
One star for the service. All I can say is that they are consistent. Always slow. 5 stars for location. 3 for food.
We needed a break after a long walk and this was the place that looked very inviting and relaxed. As a "boulangerie" we had to try the Croissant and the Pain De Raisins: both were amazing. My doubleshot Espresso was perfect too. Come in, relax, people watch and eat.
"Wonderful food and atmosphere"........., This is my favorite restaurant in DC. I had a great experience for lunch today and it was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and so unique!. The store manager was really nice, she was helpful and patient! and the food was fantastic. I ordered winter Quinoa salad and green juice, they are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to my friends.
I came to this location today to get a warm cup of coffee and while waiting, there were some customers who were arguing and causing a scene for everyone to see and hear! Despite the loud/rude behavior of the guests, I still received exceptional customer service and apologies for the slight bad experience. I was very impressed by the professional way the staff handled the disgruntled guests and the situation at hand!!! Five stars for great management and customer service despite all!!!
Some of the best places I've ever been. Next to West side Highway, located fairly visible to the front of the street (and I think there was a bank on the other side). Place is clean, prices are fair, and the service is nice. The food could have been better, but the overall impression the place left me was positive...
This is a great place for brunch or lunch. It's nice to sit outside and have an open-faced sandwich, quiche, or salad. Everything we've tried is great. I like the black bean hummus and the vegetable quiche. Not doing gluten anymore, so this might rule out most options, but when I did eat it, I enjoyed eating here. Also, I really like the mint chamomile iced tea and the lemonade.
