*Historical landmark in rural area, providing a fully working US Post Office along with 'antique' general store that sells a few little things. *When you go for a visit, it's as if you have stepped back in time. So, plan to bring your camera. *When we went, we talked with one of the family members who run the store. Old country store and US Post Office owned/operated by my Aunt and Uncle for many years, now by my cousins. If you read the historical marker in front of the store, you'll see the LeNoir family has been operating this establishment since sometime between 1765 and 1808. LeNoir Country or General Store is typical of a vanishing breed - the country crossroads store. I learn about this place form an article about a series of what initially thought to be just an abductions, but then turned out to be a murders, that take occurence in Sumter county. It's said that Carrie LeNoir was one of first to report to the police rather important information about one of the kidnapped girls. I think this fact just adds to the goodness of this place:)
