Terrible experience communicating with the host and through airbnb. I booked for new year holidays and paid almost $1,000 for deposit but due to personal reasons, the trip was cancelled. I informed the host 2 months before the booking date but can't get the deposit back even though the adv mentioned 50% refund if cancelled by 22nd Dec. The host told me airbnb is holding the money but when I contact airbnb, they said the host got the money and they can't do anything. I personally think this is very unprofessional and a scam.

The house was beautiful. Very good location. (Bear in mind that the accommodation has no sign, and it's just a normal house).The owner answer promptly to the phone and returns calls and text if not available at first. The price for 4 people was reasonable as well. Few things i did not like were: 1. The payment was asked straight away, without even showing us the room, just outside the house as there is no reception. 2.
